Love is always patient and kind. it is never jealous.
Love is never boastful or conceited. it is never rude or selfish. it does not take offense and is not resentful.
Love takes no pleausre in other people's sins, but delights in the truth. it is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes.
This very phrase taken from the novel itself come to have made me realise how great love can be. The whole novel also have proven that undying love did exist(although no longer common now). And i personally recommend both the movie and the novel to people who favour such melancholy-nic(reckon if theres such a hard. Its made-up) yet heart-rending allegories. The love between landon and jamie was indeed admirable. They stood by each other through the very last days.
Movie acted by mandy moore and shane west. Novel by nicholas sparks
Summary of the movie:
Famous, popular high school kid, landon carter was punished when a supposedly prank turned out a disaster. It all started when a classmate of his wanted to join the clique, so a "dare" was set as a test before they accepts him(the classmate); he was to jump from a height and into the river at a construction site(at night of course). But everything goes wrong when he hits an object in the waters upon landing directly flat on the surface. Everyone panics and soon the guards were aroused by the commontion at the site.Everyone fleas and landon takes the blame. Since he(the classmate) wasn't gravely injured and nor was he "speaking" plus the guard at the construction site wasn't pressing charges. Landon wasn't expelled, instead, he was sent for voluntary missions which included the play in the coming summer.
Plain, geeky jamie sullivan was however the opposite of landon. Being content in the world she is living, she was never bothered by what others were saying about her. Landon attended the same church as she was and they had been attending the same class eversince kindergrade. Being the girl landon knew she was, he never would have thought he would fall in love with her...to be continued
Well, i finally got hands on the novel in borders malaysia, my next book would be the time capsule(recommended by le ting). I read whatever she recommends for we both favour the same genres.
I'm currently reading "my story" by dave pelzer that is true life account on a boy subjected to child abusement. A depressing book indeed but it was also the book that made me count my blessings. How lucky i was to have loving parents and fear-free environment. Growing up in such wonderful family just made us take things for granted.
I love you mom and dad!

hence I spent christmas eve watching great composer joe hisaishi's symphony suites, on youtube of course, imaginating myself there in that magnificient hall atuing to sounds so pleasant to ears. I was simply amazed by the whole concert. Especially princess mononoke's symphony suite.I watched it with tears almost flowing. The orchestra had marvelous techniques, with the strings bowing and rubato-ing at the same beat keeping the whole song in time. The other instruments did a fantastic job too ; with accentation and sfz-ing on time. I just love it when the whole melody fluctuates and hits its peak. Be sure to finish through the 8min concert!ITs absolutly not a time-waster. Turn the volume slightly louder when the violin soloist plays, hes rather soft, judging from that hes has to protract his sound across the hall.
!!!!And very soon new year will arrive.I'm so excited and am looking forward to the forth coming event our class is having.hoorays!gift exchange, due to my dad's christmas-are-for-jewish mindset, we never get to experience gift exchanges. Oh well, theres always a first time(^^,)
